Library Accreditation Goals

Indonesian university libraries are accredited on a scale of A (highest), B (standard), and C (lowest). Currently holding a B, Dinuslib aims to achieve A accreditation, requiring stronger digital infrastructure and higher user engagement.

Instrument Requirement

The accreditation instrument specifies that one of the key performance indicators is achieving 11,000 digital visitors per month something the current system struggles to meet.

DinusLib open source system using WordPress, SLiMS, and DSpace overview by jeremia justin grasio
Separate Open Source

Dinuslib currently operates on multiple separate open source platforms: WordPress for the main site, SLiMS for book circulation, and DSpace for academic files. This fragmented structure confuses users and weakens the overall experience.

Compounding the problem:

  • A recent online gambling attack raised serious security concerns.

  • Monthly visitors consistently fall short of the 11,000 required by accreditation standards.

  • Without a clear visual flow of the system, both developers and stakeholders lack a shared understanding, making platform improvements slow and misaligned.

Creating Prototype

Interactive prototypes were developed to visualize user journeys, allowing stakeholders to experience the proposed solution before development and align on functionality early.

Usability testing results of DinusLib with SUS method by jeremia justin grasio
Usability Testing (SUS & SEQ Methods)

I conducted usability tests with real users using the System Usability Scale (SUS) and Single Ease Question (SEQ) methods. These tests provided measurable insights on ease of use, visual clarity, and user satisfaction. I've reached my target of 100% use SUS method.
